SUBJECT MATTER

We consider the city to be a space of convergence where information and knowledge, from Art to Science, have a real challenge. The contemporary city is moving towards a debate on the common space which goes beyond the tradition tension between the public and the private. We could talk about a city spread through the communication networks which replaces the notion of street or square as the collective space, questioning the concept of the domestic as the private and isolated environment. Nowadays, inert and natural urban agents can collaborate in the creation of this network space.

The current techno-scientific culture is constantly challenging the subject-based language, of whatever type it may be, defining it and in turn opening new channels of intervention and influence in every context of interaction with human life. The virtual and the physical environment become food for thought and areas for the generation of a subject-based dialogue, with a clear vocation towards, and potential for, transforming society.
